Welcome to JPtheGeek IT Services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”).
1. Services
JPtheGeek provides managed IT services, technical support, cybersecurity services, and related technology solutions to businesses and individuals.
2. Account Registration
You may need to create an account to access certain services. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
3. SMS / Text Message Terms
These SMS terms apply only to transactional, service-related communications.
Consent
By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from JPtheGeek related to your services, including:
- IT support ticket updates and status changes
- Service appointment confirmations and reminders
- Critical system or security alerts
- Account, billing, and invoice notifications
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) messages
JPtheGeek does not send promotional or marketing SMS messages.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase or service.
Opt-in may occur via web forms, service agreements, customer portals, or verbal consent documented by JPtheGeek.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on service activity. During active support incidents, you may receive multiple messages per day. During periods of inactivity, you may receive no messages.
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
Opt-Out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message from us
- Updating your communication preferences in the customer portal
- Emailing support@jpthegeek.com
After texting STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Carrier Disclaimer
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your network operator.
Supported Carriers
Our SMS service supports all major U.S. carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others.

4. Service Level Agreements
Service level agreements (SLAs) may be defined in separate written agreements. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and an applicable SLA, the SLA shall govern.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use our services for unlawful or unauthorized purposes
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with or disrupt service operations
- Transmit malware, malicious code, or harmful content
- Violate intellectual property or proprietary rights
6. Payment Terms
- Payment terms are defined in your service agreement or invoice
- Late payments may result in fees or service suspension
- Disputed charges must be reported within thirty (30) days of the invoice date
7. Intellectual Property
All software, documentation, content, and materials provided by JPtheGeek remain the property of JPtheGeek or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use such materials solely in connection with the services provided.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JPtheGeek shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
JPtheGeek’s total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JPtheGeek, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your use of the services or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate services in accordance with the applicable service agreement. Upon termination:
- Access to services will be discontinued
- Any outstanding fees will become immediately due
- We will provide reasonable assistance for data export where applicable
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflict of law principles.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or service notification. Continued use of the services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
